About the Course
Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. Boat Texas Boater Education Course
We will meet at the Boat Ramp at Walter E. Long park for hands on learning.
Prior to the course review the entire study guide manual on boat-ed.com Study Guide | Texas Boat Ed Course (boat-ed.com)
Students will be tested on the content found in the study guide and the material covered in the field course. The test is 60 questions long and multiple choice. Students must achieve a score of 80% to pass the test.
