Hello All, Enhanced Hunter Education (Online plus Field Day)   Texas requires hunter born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must complete a Hunter Education course. Minimum age of certification is nine (9) years of age. Those age 9 through 16 must complete this Online (+) Field Course, or a Classroom course taught somewhere else. Those age 17 and above may complete Online-only in lieu of our Online (+) Field Course, but it is less fun. The Online + Field Course is the best of the three course options (in my opinion). For younger students, adults should assist (NOT do) them with the online course and accompany them during the field course. Certification fee is $15.00. Some instructors may charge an added range or facility fee based on location and use. The certification process consists of two parts: Online coursework: Complete the FREE TPWD online course. Hunters are responsible for their own work and hunt plan. Parents may help, not do. Please read this entire letter. Make sure you understand everything. Noncompliance will get you dismissed. Some of it is redundant. You get to read it twice. Welcome, and thank you for training with the P³ Training and Consulting. Your hunter education is graciously hosted by the San Antonio Gun Club. We are looking forward to meeting and training with you. Here is the information to make your training more enjoyable. Texas Hunter Education certification is offered by Texas Parks and Wildlife Division (TPWD) certified instructors. Candidates must complete the online coursework PRIOR to attending class. The following information will explain how this is accomplished. I think this class is the BEST course for beginners. The online course will take them through the whole book and we get to have them in the field skill with real firearms. You will not get that in the classroom. The certification process consists of TWO parts:

1. Online coursework: Complete the TPWD online course or one of the approved online hunter education courses.
2. Attend a Field Course with a TPWD certified instructor. Parent/Guardian shall accompany the child(ren).The fee for the Field Course is $15.00. Part 1- Online coursework (Ethical hunters will do their own online coursework.) TPWD online course; New, updated, FREE. After completing the online coursework of Part 1, print out the results and present to a TPWD certified instructor at the Field Day. I shall have them before you attend.] For the FREE TPWD online course or IHEA course, print* each chapter's quiz results. For the other options, print the final Voucher or Certificate. Part 2- Field Course The Field Course includes: a presentation of ethical and responsible hunting, participation in a hunting skills trail, a live firing exercise, review of regulations and a final exam (score at least 75% to pass). The Field Course is completed in one day and includes a minimum of four (4) hours of instruction and a live fire exercise. Parent/Guardian shall accompany the child(ren). You must pre-register and pay for this course to reserve a seat. If you do not, you do not have a guaranteed seat. When you arrive at the Field Course site: Turn in (without these items, you will not participate)

2. Printed results from Part 1 homework (Quiz Results*, Voucher, or Certificate) *save paper and email them to Training@P3TC.com
3. $15 TPWD fee (cash, if not paid online)

Demonstrate appropriate KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ATTITUDE while completing the Field Day subjects: ethics and responsible hunting, regulations, hunter skills trail and live firing exercise (Honorably discharged or active military are exempt from live fire exercises only. Present your DD Form 214 or ID card.) Take the written exam and score at least 75% correct to pass Upon successful completion of Parts 1 and 2 of the Enhanced Hunter Education course, you will receive a temporary Texas Hunter Education student card. You may legally hunt with a valid Texas hunting license and your temporary student certification card on your person. We begin the Hunter Ed session at 2PM/1400. Do not be late. You will not be allowed to participate. We will end as soon as we are done; about 6PM/1800. Large classes run longer. Dress code is comfortable and clean. You will be walking in the grass and trees. No open toed shoes. You may bring lunch, drinks, and snacks. If you have your own, you may bring:

• Ammunition; no shot larger than 7 ½ is allowed
