About the Course

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. Boater Education Course taught by Goose Island State Park Police and Aransas County Game Wardens. Course is held at the Goose Island State Park Rec Hall.  The Course will begin at 9am and end at 5pm on May 30th. Available to ages 13 and up. The course is all digital. Please bring a laptop or tablet to participate. Please bring a lunch and drinks for yourself. Course is $5 per person and may be paid by cash or check.
