About the Course

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by US Coast Guard Auxiliary, US Power Squadron and trained volunteer instructors, as well as teachers, and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. All classes are a minimum of six hours. More questions? Check our FAQ page. Register now
The Cherokee Water Company  - Lake Cherokee will host its annual Classroom Boater Education course on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at the Lake office meeting room.  This class is not only educational but offers hands-on and interactive instruction as well.  Lunch is provided - and door prizes!.  Our class has not one, but several certified instructors and is considered one of, if not THE best in the State.   Seating will be limited based on the number of instructors but normally fills up fast.  Come and experience a great learning experience on the shores of beautiful Lake Cherokee. All attendees are encouraged to sign up in advance online.  Current COVID safety requirements will be in place so please wear your mask.
