Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. All classes are a minimum of six hours. More questions? Check our FAQ page.

The course fee is $35 per person payable to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.  The fee includes lunch and your $10 state certification fee paid to Texas Parks & Wildlife.
