About the Course

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by US Coast Guard Auxiliary, US Power Squadron and trained volunteer instructors, as well as teachers, and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. All classes are a minimum of six hours. More questions? Check our FAQ page.
This is an all-day class put on by America’s Boating Club – the United States Power Squadrons local Houston unit.  While you have already taken the course, it is necessary that you be 13 when you register for TPWD to determine how to process your grade.  You will not need to register anywhere or pay any fee - we already have your money and will use it to pay the TPWD fee for the card. This is a private class,  your presences is not necessary, we already have your grade from when you were there and took the exam. If you have any problems getting this done, call Chris Leavitt at 713-517-2204.
