About the Course
Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. This course is taught by a Texas Parks and Wildlife boating educator and uses the Boat Texas curriculum.
Course is free: $5.00 per person, will occur at Becoming an Outdoors Woman program.

6) Enjoying water sports
This is a lifetime certification, your record will remain on file, in the event you need copies. TPWD does not mail out cards or certificates. You will print your cards by logging into our system on a computer.
Water provided. Please bring lunch and/or snacks. Parking is free but limited. All materials are provided.
