About the Course
Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. Official Boater Education Classroom Course for Lake Athens Property Owners.
This course is exclusively for Lake Athens Property Owners members, their family and guest.
It is required for anyone 13 years of age or older and born before September 1, 1993.
It is beneficial to all Captains for increasing safety and competency. It should make you eligible for a discount on your boat insurance.
LAPOA is conducting this class FREE of charge. (TPWD will collect a $10 fee from each student, payable at class)
The course will be Saturday, June 25, 8:30- 3:00, at the Texas Fresh Water Fishery Center.
