About the Course

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. This is an all-day class given America’s Boating Club.  Go to the website listed below to pay for tuition and any TPWD certificate fees for this class. Pay tuition and any fee by the Thursday before the class at  https://americasboatingclubhouston.org/education/americas-boating-course/ - Use the Add to Cart button for the location and date of your class to go to the payment processing part of the web page. If you want (or must have) the state certification that you passed this course, please use the Register now button on this TPWD page.  While all payments go thru America's Boating Club, it is still necessary to register with TPWD if you want the certificate.  If you do not register with TPWD before the class for the state to certify you, we will have to take extra time to register you online during the day of the class.
