About the Course
Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. Water Activity Day Events is a 3 day hands on boating program at Clear Lake park. Registration is $125. Classroom time is broke up over several days and different stations. At the end of the 3 days students are given the boaters education test and if they pass they will receive a temporary license. Once the state has processed the payment the student will receive an email to then log in and print their boater license.
