When you are approaching the marina, take a right turn at the Lone Star Watersports, there are a series of large stones on your right hand side. Drive until a T intersection. Take a right turn, the building with the class will be on your right hand side about 150 yards after the turn. It is a yellow building.Get directions

About the Course

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. America's Boating Course + Texas Boater's License Exam
America's Boating Course is a complete program covering the basics of recreational boating offered by the Dallas Chapter of the United States Power Squadrons, www.dsps.org. Includes Boat Safety Course Book and CD's.  The boat safety course is designed for boaters using all types of watercraft. This NASBLA-approved boat safety course includes:
  • Boat Education: General information about boats and personal watercraft, and their maintenance.
  • Boat Safety: How to make your boating safer and more comfortable.
  • Boating Law and Regulation: Laws and regulations that you must follow.
