About the Course

Anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 who wishes to operate certain vessels on the public waterways of Texas. See Water Safety Act for details. Boating courses are taught by TPWD Boater Education certified instructors, US Coast Guard Auxiliary and game wardens. With more and more people enjoying the lakes and rivers every year, it's important, for everyone, that boaters educate themselves on boating skills and seamanship. This is a private Boater Education class for Skiin' with the Galilean Captains and First Mates. Please bring a sack lunch and dock line. SWTG is providing this course FREE of charge for all SWTG volunteers. There will be a dinner party at Garrett Shores following the class. Please bring a side dish to share and beverage of your choice. All SWTG Captains will be required to have an approved Boater Education Certificate for 2024 and beyond.
