This class is a classroom/lecture/skills class. Students are required to participate. For students under 13, a parent or guardian must attend with the student for the academic portion, as younger students may not fully comprehend the materials. Parents/guardians attending the class with a student do not need to register if they do not require certification. All people (including minors) who will need to be certified must register individually. When registering, please make sure you do not use the same email for multiple people, as it will mess up the TPWD system. Each person needs their own email.
Please bring your personal bow and arrows, as we can inspect your equipment and go to the range to practice. We can also complete the proficiency test if you require it.
You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks, or have your food delivered, as we do not have a lunch break. Snacks and drinks are not provided.
Participation requirements include attending the entire course, taking a written exam, and achieving at least 75% of the answers correct to complete successfully. Your permanent Texas Hunter Education Certification card will be available to download and print from your Account Profile, or push the big green button that says, “Am I Certified.”
