Answers to FAQs: The class is held in a state-of-the-art classroom at Republic Gun Club and the doors will open at approximately 7:45 AM. The course fee is $20 per student - payment will be made directly to the instructor via cash, Venmo or PayPal (the instructor will pay TPWD on the student's behalf). Do not pay on TPWD's registration website as we are not able to access those funds. This class is designed for ages 9-17, however adults are welcome to attend. For students under the age of twelve, a parent/guardian is highly encouraged to attend with the student for the academic portion as younger students may not comprehend the materials well. Parents/guardians who are attending the class with a student need not register themselves if they do not need the certification. All persons (including minors) who will need to be certified, must register individually. There will be a 1-hour lunch. Students can bring snacks, drinks, and lunch; or students are welcome to visit one of the many eateries nearby. Please bring weather appropriate clothing as part of the afternoon session will be held outside.
