- Register for a Hunter Education Instructor Course - see Instructor Course Schedule (https://tpwd.elementlms.com/) . Many Instructor Courses include both hunter and bowhunter education, but most are separate offerings.
- Download and complete these documents. (https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/hunter-education/instructor-certification-documents)

If a game warden is present at the course, he/she will conduct an interview and give your completed form to the TPWD Staff member or Area Chief. This class is to certify each student as a Hunter Education Instructor. Each student will fill out all the forms in class. It is highly beneficial to obtain a Game Warden's interview prior to coming to class. Each student needs to have taken a basic hunter education class. If the certification is from a state other than Texas, then bring a copy of your student certification to class. The class will cover TPWD policies, teaching skills, how to do a field day, and also how to do the computer part of publishing and finishing a class on the ORS system This class is from 8AM to 5 PM.
