Entering Live Lesson Information


Live Lesson details for your course include the date, time, location, and number of seats.  In order to add Live Lesson details, you must first save your Course. See Steps to Add a New Course.

Follow these steps to add Live Lesson Information:

  1. Open your published course (go to Courses and select All Courses from the left menu. Select your course).
  2. If necessary, select Save Draft or Publish.
  3. The Live Lesson Information section will appear, below the special instructions box.
  4. The default Time Zone is set. Uncheck the box to change the time zone if necessary.
  5. Enter the number of Total Seats. This is the number of students that your class can hold.
    • Open Seats will automatically update as students register for the course.
  6. If your class will be taught only in Spanish, check the Spanish Only box.
  7. Click in the Live Event Date box, and use the calendar control to set the date for the class.
  8. Click in the Event Start Time box to select the starting time for your course. For example, 9:00am.
  9. Click in the Event End Time box to select the time that the class ends. For example, 4:00pm.
  10. If your class occurs on multiple days, select Add Another Date, and repeat steps 7–9 to add the date and start/end times for the 2nd day of your course.
    • Hint: Add another day for each day the course will be held, unless you are repeating the same course periodically, for example, every 2 months. In that case, create a new course for each separate time the course repeats.
  11. Select the Live Event Location, by clicking on the drop-down and choosing an available location.
  12.  Add any additional instructions about the location in the Live Event Location Info / Room Location text box. For example, you can tell students where to park, or which entrance to use.
  13. The Live Event Facilitator should be set to your name. Select a different Instructor if necessary.
  14. Preview the course. The date(s), time(s), and location—including a map—will appear in the preview, in a new window. The Preview displays the course as a student will see it in the Hunter and Boater Education Online Registration System.
  15. Update or Publish the course.
    • NOTE: the course is now available to users searching (or using the Private link) through the Hunter and Boater Education Online Registration System.
