Hello Hunter, I am not talking to parents, but to the Hunter attending the class. Hunters are responsible for their own work and hunt plan. Parents may help, not do. Please read this entire letter. Make sure you understand everything. Noncompliance will get you dismissed. Some of it is redundant. You get to read it twice. Welcome, and thank you for training with the P³ Training and Consulting. Your hunter education is graciously sponsored by Sierra Club International at the San Antonio Trap and Skeet Club. We are looking forward to meeting and training with you. Here is the information to make your training more enjoyable. The course covers core competencies of firearm and hunting safety, hunting ethics and wildlife conservation. All materials are provided. The Hunter Education Classroom Course lasts about six hours of classroom instruction. This time does not include registration, breaks, test administration and certification card distribution. We will also be shooting shotguns during this course. See below for shotgun requirements and restrictions. The fee for the certification is $15. Pre-registration is required. Parents DO NOT register for the course if they are not a student of the course. Hanging with you does not count. When you arrive at the course:

4. Take the written exam and get at least 75% correct to pass.

Upon successful completion, you may receive a temporary card from the Instructor if you need it. You may legally hunt with a valid Texas hunting license and your temporary certification card. Texas requires Hunter Education card is on your person while hunting. With all that behind us, we are training at the San Antonio Trap and Skeet Club 928 East Contour Drive, San Antonio, TX 78212. We begin the Hunter Ed session at 2PM/1400. Do not be late. You will not be allowed to participate. We will end as soon as we are done; about 6PM/1800. Large classes run longer. The dress code is comfortable and clean. You will be walking in the grass and trees. No open-toed shoes. You may bring lunch, drinks, and snacks. There is a vending machine. If you have your own, you may bring:

• Ear and Ear Protection
• Baseball type hat recommended
• Shotgun of your choice
• Ammunition; no shot larger than 7 ½ is allowed
